Is reality TV a fad, or is it here for good?

As we all know, "Reality TV" is anything but real. It's fake, and it's
overwhelmingly poisonous to young minds. I wouldn't even have a
problem with it if it didn't make up literally 70 percent of
television shows. What ever happen to good sitcoms or 30 minute shows
that showed good morality and provided good role models?

Things like News and wildlife documentaries don't fit in the category
of "reality TV", those are more like real life things. Reality TV are
the shows that follow the lives of 8 strangers living in a house, or a
2 season show of some random famous person who decided to make their
own tv show, pointless competitions for money etc.

Now all you see are really fake people, obnoxious people, people
generating fake drama, superficiality and materialism... and there's
something so disgustingly addicting about it because even I can't look
away sometimes - almost like a really bad car accident. Not to mention
it's dirt cheap to produce and rakes in huge amounts of profits.

Do you think Reality TV will ever go away? Is it just a fad? Or do you
think that it will be here and always remain here?

Guitar effects on GarageBand?

I am writing a song on GarageBand from iLife '09, and the style is
somewhat like 60's surf rock and modern punk weird, I know; I am
recording with a MIDI cable and my Yamaha PSR-275, and I have no
electric guitar or amp. I've been trying to set up the effects on the
Software Instrument to get a realistic sound: something that sounds
like the guitar playing in The Middle, by Jimmy Eat World. I am having
a real hard time getting that crisp and powerful sound, and it just
ends up sounding noisy and there's a lot of disharmony. Can someone
help me/tell me what effects to use to achieve a similar sound?

Another thing: I don't have any Jam Packs nor do I have any money to
purchase them; so I'll need to be able to get that sound with the
stock instruments only.

I'm trying to remember a movie but I can't think of the name, but I
know it's not the Punisher. I remember that the guy had a family and
these people came in and started shooting his family and I believe the
wife died, I don't remember if he had a daughter and the son ended up
in the hospital. In the end the son was getting better and the dad got
revenge on the people and he went home and sat on the couch watching a
home recorded movie of his family. While the son got better the dad

All I can find on sites like amazon.com, iTunes.com, etc., mostly have
the edited version of CD's such as Raymond Vs. Raymond, Born This Way,
